Administration
The State of California has mandated an organizational structure among district and county-operated special education programs to assure that a free appropriate public education, including special instruction and/or support services, is provided to any eligible student regardless of the size or location of the district. The Tulare County/District Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) has developed the local plan describing how it will provide special education services. The links below provide access to each section of the local plan as well as the appendices. Section II delineates how this local plan has been developed in accordance with California Education Code. Section III provides guidance for the administration of the Local Plan and development of supporting SELPA Policies.
